About The Position

As the Relief Person at the Wayland location, you will provide support to the Production team by learning and performing multiple functions across operations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining consistent product quality, ensuring safe and efficient production, and supporting initiatives that improve performance throughout the plant. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Operate and adjust dryer and related production equipment according to product specifications and formulas. Perform accurate quality control and analytical testing, including fat, solids content, and microbiological analysis. Lead and perform Clean-in-Place (CIP) and sanitation procedures on all assigned equipment. Safely operate forklifts to transport ingredients, components, and materials as needed. Interpret and follow production schedules to ensure continuous operation and avoid downtime. Maintain accurate, legible, and timely production, testing, and inventory records. Weigh and blend ingredients precisely using both metric and imperial systems while following correct sequencing and blending procedures. Maintain blending efficiency to ensure a consistent and high-quality product supply for drying operations. Adjust formulas and calculations as needed using solid math and problem-solving skills. Crosstrain across multiple production areas, including Dryer, Hot Mix, QA Lab, and Quadcone operations. Perform basic quality control testing and documentation within Quadcone operations while maintaining or exceeding established line efficiencies. Ensure compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and TreeHouse Foods food safety and quality programs.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written
  • Experience with operating a sit-down forklift
  • The ability to work overtime and weekends
