About The Position

FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a Reliability Lab Supervisor to join our senior engineering team responsible for product problem resolution of industry-standard server and storage platforms. This position plays a key role in driving characterization, identification of materials failure modes, collaborating with both customer and internal Foxconn R&D, Product, Process Engineering, and Quality Engineering organizations. The Reliability Lab Supervisor will oversee day-to-day failure analysis activities, lead a team of engineers and technicians, and ensure that advanced diagnostic techniques and industry best practices are applied to support ongoing improvement in product quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Material Engineering, or related technical field required.
  • Proficiency with destructive and nondestructive metrologies (Dye and Pull, Cross-Section, SEM/EDX, 2D/3D X-Ray imaging, CSAM, FTIR, XRF, OMM/CMM, Shadow Moiré, Electrical Continuity).
  • Strong knowledge of IPC and JEDEC standards.
  • Familiarity with laboratory standards such as ISO/IEC 17025.
  • 3–5 years of experience in electronics failure analysis, debugging, or product design for computing and storage platforms.
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional and cross-organizational engineering teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to sit or stand at lab workstations for extended periods; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred, but technical skills will be prioritized over previous supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform engineering investigations and characterization of materials properties, commodities integrated into PCA, Server & Storage platforms
  • Improve product quality and customer satisfaction through timely, detailed materials analysis.
  • Interface directly with design and operations engineering teams to identify and isolate failure modes, characterization of new pkg technologies and/or processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, process, quality, mechanical, materials, and reliability engineering teams to resolve complex materials characterization and failure modes.
  • Provide detailed analytical feedback to internal and external design, process, and manufacturing teams based on FA results.
  • Maintain lab documentation including test procedures, failure reports, calibration records, and safety compliance.
  • Oversee lab operations including workflow scheduling, task assignment, and technical mentorship for FA engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure all investigations follow established ESD, safety, and quality protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.
