About The Position

The Maintenance Reliability Engineer will report to the Fixed Maintenance Superintendent and is responsible for developing and implementing predictive and preventative maintenance strategies for fixed plant assets to ensure reliability and longevity.

Requirements

  • Engineering experience of 1-3 years in an industrial environment preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with general condition-based and predictive maintenance use in industry.
  • Five (5) or more years working in a maintenance leadership position.
  • Proficiency with precision shaft alignment using dial indicators and / or laser alignment systems.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience working in a mining or industrial setting.
  • Four-year technical degree in a scientific or engineering field.
  • Vibration analyst ASNT level 1 or 2 and or ISO 3 Certification or above, or 5 years of experience as a vibration analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and improve reliability initiatives in the fixed crushing and process plants.
  • Perform periodic condition-monitoring duties including vibration analysis, thermography, oil sampling and analysis when required, motion amplification, acoustic imaging, regular inspection routes, and making maintenance recommendations based on gathered data.
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of online vibration monitoring software i.e. KCF Technology, Tractian, Waites, ITT I-alert system
  • Work with maintenance and operations groups to maintain and expand current condition-monitoring systems.
  • Contribute to documentation of Reliability program activities, procedures and operations.
  • Lead precision maintenance operations, including shaft alignment and belt alignment.
  • Use hand tools, power tools and precision-measuring devices and testing instruments.
  • Drive culture change through offering effective leadership, demonstrations, and training.
