Job Description Job Summary: Responsible for Quality & Reliability Engineering activities supporting the manufacture of Teledyne FLIR Cooled Camera Systems Must be US Citizen or PERM Resident

Requirements

  • Must be US Citizen or PERM Resident
  • Collaboration & Teamwork is necessary establish good working relationships with product team and when working with other product teams.
  • Strong Communication Skills are necessary when creating proposals and communicating in writing, in such a manner, that it is easy to understand and interpret what and why information is being communicated.
  • Listens attentively without interrupting and/or being distracted by other things.
  • Displaying strong personal Initiative and motivation is vital to achieve desired performance results with projects that support the organization.
  • Strong Oral Communication and Presentation Skills are essential when making oral and graphical presentations to capture the interest and involvement of the audience while developing/delivering a clear and concise message.
  • Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10%.
  • Must be able to communicate orally and in writing using the English language.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs on sporadically

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to product development as a sustaining team member supporting Teledyne FLIR’s Cooler Manufacturing.
  • Conducts product and process qualification planning & testing, life testing and reporting for new designs and processes.
  • Responsible for fielded product failure analysis, corrective actions and reporting.
  • Facilitates Supplier & component qualification.
  • Coordinates containment and corrective action for non-conforming material.
  • Leads regular quality status and improvement activities.
  • Generates quality procedures and work instructions as needed.
  • Travels as required to suppliers, customers and/or outside labs as needed.
  • Member of cross-functional Team supporting activities with Systems Engineering, Customer Service, Production, Process/Manufacturing Engineering, Customers, Suppliers, Executive Leadership
