You will be the Reliability Test Engineer for the Reliability Engineering team. What You Will Be Doing As the Reliability Test Engineer you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and continuously improving a suite of reliability verification activities—including Reliability Demonstration, Accelerated Aging, HALT, and HASS. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 3–5 + years hands‑on reliability testing experience, including HALT, HASS, accelerated aging, and reliability demonstration testing
  • Proven ability to develop comprehensive test plans and test procedures in accordance with industry standards (e.g., MIL‑STD‑810, IEC 60721)
  • Experience conducting formal Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and leading test execution teams
  • Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis skills (root‑cause analysis, fault isolation, data interpretation)
  • Proficiency in test instrumentation and data‑acquisition systems (e.g., oscilloscopes, thermal chambers, vibration tables, data loggers)
  • Ability to generate clear, concise status reports and detailed test reports for cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Knowledge of reliability prediction methods (e.g., Weibull analysis, Arrhenius, Coffin‑Manson) and statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, Python/R)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting findings to engineering leadership and customers
  • Familiarity with configuration management and documentation control (e.g., PLM, Document Management Systems)
  • Ability to work safely in a lab environment and adhere to EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) protocols
  • Strong organizational and project‑management abilities to prioritize multiple test campaigns and meet schedule commitments.

  • Design and implementation of reliability test programs (HALT, HASS, accelerated aging, reliability demonstration)
  • Development of detailed test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria
  • Conducting formal Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and coordinating cross‑functional sign‑offs hands‑on test execution—including set‑up, calibration, and operation of environmental, vibration, thermal, and electrical test equipment
  • Systematic troubleshooting and root‑cause failure investigation (fault isolation, data‑driven analysis)
  • Generation of clear, regular status updates and comprehensive test reports for stakeholders
  • Proficiency with data‑acquisition and analysis tools (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, Minitab, JMP)
  • Knowledge of reliability prediction models (Weibull, Arrhenius, Coffin‑Manson) and statistical analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with industry standards and guidelines (MIL‑STD‑810, IEC 60721, NASA‑STD‑8739)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for technical documentation and presentations
  • Ability to manage multiple test projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet schedule milestones
  • Experience with configuration‑management and document‑control systems (PLM, DOORS, SharePoint)
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to EHS procedures in a laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and schedules that align with program milestones.
  • Lead formal Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) to secure stakeholder sign off before execution.
  • Execute Reliability Demonstration, Accelerated Aging, HALT, and HASS test campaigns on hardware prototypes and production units.
  • Diagnose failures, conduct root cause investigations, and collaborate with cross functional teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Capture, analyze, and report test data, delivering clear status updates and detailed test reports to leadership.
  • Continuously refine test methodologies and develop new stress screening techniques to shorten cycle time while improving coverage.
  • Mentor junior test staff and serve as the technical authority for reliability testing best practices.
