About The Position

The Maintenance/ Reliability Coordinator provides front-line leadership for maintenance operations across two manufacturing plants on a three-shift schedule. This role oversees the safe, efficient, and reliable execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance while leading a team of multi-skilled technicians. In addition to daily crew supervision, the position drives equipment reliability improvements through troubleshooting support, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives — fostering a safety-first, reliability-focused culture on the production floor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in technical discipline or equivalent trade school/military technical training required.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including at least 2 years of front-line leadership directing maintenance crews in a 24/5 or 24/6 operation.
  • Strong background in industrial equipment maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems. Proficient in troubleshooting, emergency response, and VFD/PLC diagnostics.
  • Proficient in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order, preventive maintenance, and asset management. Maintenance planning, work execution, and MRO inventory systems.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop technical teams. Strong commitment to safety, with experience enforcing safe work practices, leading incident investigations, and fostering a zero-incident culture.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and equipment reliability improvement skills, including experience with RCA, TPM, RCM, and Lean Maintenance initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Working ability to support capital projects, contractor oversight, and heavy industrial environments preferred.
  • Industrial maintenance experience in metals, wire production, or heavy manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and direct a team of multi-skilled maintenance technicians across three shifts, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely completion of daily preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and serve as the primary escalation point for complex equipment issues. Lead root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager, Planners, and Operations leadership to prioritize maintenance activities based on safety, production, and reliability needs. Ensure accurate, timely work order management, asset history, and preventive maintenance scheduling within the CMMS.
  • Champion a zero-incident culture by enforcing safe work practices, conducting safety observations and toolbox talks, addressing hazards, and participating in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
  • Lead daily shift meetings, manage effective shift handoffs, and maintain alignment with cross-functional partners. Supervise onsite contractors and vendors to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with operational and safety standards.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians, supporting skills development, performance management, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives to build a high-performing, reliable maintenance team.
