Requirements

  • BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain Scent Level Clearance with the DOD.
  • Minimum of six years of post-graduate marine, power, or manufacturing plant technical experience.
  • Ability to attain NAVSEA certifications in Classic and Backfit RCM (per the MIL-STD-3034 (RCM) Process).
  • Eligibility to possess a final U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Experience with Navy and commercial ship Design Specifications and maintenance management.
  • Experience or fluency with reading and comprehending engineering drawings, technical manuals, and other technical documentation for RAM analysis.
  • Fluency in relevant maintenance and reliability engineering tools (i.e., Reliability Block Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis).
  • Familiarity with reliability analysis software (i.e., Reliasoft, RAPTOR, Windchill).
  • Passion for enhancing naval operations through innovative RAM practices.

  • Active Clearance with DOD
  • Active USCG license.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional or Certified Reliability Engineer.
  • Background in reliability engineering and shipboard operations.

Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering principles and data analysis to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate systems, policies, support systems, and management related to RAM.
  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of Navy and commercial specifications in relation to RAM development, requirements, and management.
  • Implement Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) processes in accordance with MIL-STD-3034.
  • Apply Reliability Block Diagram (RBD) analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant security requirements and maintain eligibility for a final U.S. Government security clearance.
