What You’ll Do Play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and execution of software releases. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product engineering, quality, and platform engineering, to facilitate the timely and efficient delivery of software updates to users. Plan and execute software releases by interfacing with all stakeholder functions of a release, such as the engineering managers, program managers, and product managers. Own the release management lifecycle, which includes scheduling, coordinating and managing releases across the organization by measuring progress and mitigating risks affecting the release in scope, quality and schedule. Own, maintain, and report on release content and artifacts via release plans and release retrospectives. Conduct and report release readiness reviews along with reviewing go-live blockers. Manage critical information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, delivery units and notification lists. Work closely with the engineering teams to continuously improve the release process by providing collaboration, information management tools, and close integration with CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment) systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in DevOps or Software Release.
  • Work experience to include: (1) 5 years of experience in Release Management. (2) 3 years of experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). (3) 2 years of experience with Program or Project Management. (4) 2 years of experience with Version Control and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment). Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.
  • 40 hrs./wk.
