As a Relationship Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for customers at the Halifax branch, greeting them cheerfully and building relationships. Your daily tasks include efficiently processing routine financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, checks, and loan payments. You will also leverage your product knowledge to recommend financial products and services tailored to customers' current and future needs. Responsibilities also involve maintaining and balancing a cash drawer with proper controls, assisting customers via phone or online with basic transactions like account inquiries, transfers, and loan applications. You will answer questions about products and services for both existing and potential customers, solve problems, and handle various service opportunities including new account processing, updating customer information, and providing needs-based solutions. The role emphasizes a fun, supportive team environment and a strong focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Cheerfully greet customers as they walk through the doors at the Halifax branch
  • Build relationships with customers
  • Efficiently process routine financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, checks, and loan payments
  • Utilize product knowledge and recommend financial products and services to meet customer needs
  • Maintain a cash drawer with all proper controls, vouchers, receipts, security, and proofs, ensuring it balances at the end of each day
  • Assist customers on the phone or online with basic financial transactions such as looking up account info, posting transfers, and taking loan applications in a timely, accurate, and friendly manner
  • Answer questions about products and services for both existing and potential customers
  • Solve problems for customers
  • Take on all service opportunities, including new account processing, updating customer and account information, and providing needs-based solutions for customers
