About The Position

Benchmark Community Bank is seeking to hire an outgoing and service-oriented Relationship Specialist for our branch in Halifax, Virginia. The Relationship Specialist leaves a lasting impression and assists our customers with a variety of financial transactions. In this role, you will cheerfully greet customers, process routine financial transactions like deposits, withdrawals, checks, and loan payments, and recommend financial products and services. You will also maintain a cash drawer, assist customers via phone or online with basic transactions, answer questions, and solve problems. You will handle new account processing, update customer information, and provide needs-based solutions, enjoying a fun, supportive team environment while serving customers.

Responsibilities

  • Cheerfully greet customers as they walk through our doors
  • Efficiently process routine financial transactions for our customers such as deposits, withdrawals, checks, and loan payments
  • Utilize product knowledge and recommend financial products and services to meet the current and future financial needs of our customers
  • Maintain a cash drawer with all the proper controls, vouchers, receipts, security, proofs, etc.
  • Ensure the cash drawer balances at the end of each day
  • Assist customers on the phone or online with basic financial transactions such as looking up account info, posting transfers, and taking loan applications in a timely, accurate, and friendly manner
  • Answer questions about our products and services to both existing and potential customers
  • Solve problems for customers
  • Take on all service opportunities - from the easy going to the challenging
  • Process new accounts
  • Update customer and account information
  • Provide needs-based solutions for customers
