About The Position

Handles special needs of new and existing customers. Responsible for maintaining extremely knowledgeable product and sales skills, with extensive experience in all areas of the Consumer Banking Division. Serves as a resource for all other customer services representatives in Relationship Banking, the Main Lobby, branches and non-retail bank departments. Works with elevated knowledge in the areas of IRA’s, Health Savings Accounts, Savings Bonds, Trusts, Estates, POA and other highly detailed customer needs to assist branch personnel and department specialist with customers. Serves act as a backup for the IRA and HSA Specialists and assist with wires and foreign currency requests. Provides the highest level of customer service and expertise of products and services in partnership with other lines of business. Provides top quality service with extensive knowledge to new and existing customers. Opens consumer and business products and services, identifies customer’s needs and cross-sells or refers other banking products following our sales models and processes. Opens a variety of products and services including checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, and retirement accounts. Examines overdrafts, ordering checks, refunds, and other banking activities and addresses as appropriate. Provides proactive contact and retention services with the high profile customer base. Partners with other bank employees in meeting customer needs. Utilizes independence to make many decisions, within guidelines, to take care of the customer because of the extensive knowledge offered. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and college degree and/or equivalent banking experience
  • Previous teller or customer service knowledge
  • Excellent oral, listening and written communication skills
  • Strong sales ability
  • Ability to interact and work with all departments and areas of the bank
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision
  • Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of successful Consumer Banking Financial Associate experience or similar banking experience is preferred.
