Through bold action and inspiring others to act, the Foundation focuses on two major issue areas: Empowering youth to serve and improve their communities Disrupting the cycle and reducing the prevalence of relationship abuse The Foundation also supports employee and agent volunteerism through Helping Hands match and grant programs, provides assistance to communities before and after disasters, and strengthens nonprofit leadership through the Nonprofit Leadership Center. Position Overview The Relationship Abuse Program Manager will play a critical role in leading and implementing key initiatives within The Allstate Foundation’s Relationship Abuse pillar. This position directly supports the mission of disrupting the cycle and reducing the prevalence of relationship abuse by: Supporting the financial wellbeing of survivors Advancing healthy relationship education Strengthening the domestic violence sector The Program Manager will report to the Relationship Abuse Program Officer and will be responsible for guiding program workstreams, managing essential partner relationships, and overseeing the strategic execution of specific programs and public‑facing campaigns. In addition, the Program Manager will represent The Allstate Foundation in meetings with internal teams, external partners, speaking engagements, and thought‑leadership events.

Requirements

  • Experience leading complex projects or programs within nonprofit organizations, corporate philanthropy, or the domestic violence sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage internal teams, senior leaders, nonprofit partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to identify opportunities, design effective solutions, and drive initiatives from concept to completion.
  • Ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of the domestic violence sector and commitment to supporting survivors and promoting healthy relationships.
  • Proven ability to create compelling communications, prepare detailed governance materials, and deliver high-impact presentations.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and sensitivity in all interactions.
  • Strong collaboration skills and success working across functions.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable with shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel at least 20% of the time.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with grants management and project management tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full management and execution of assigned workstreams and initiatives, from strategy development through implementation and evaluation.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, improvement, and increased impact within programs.
  • Represent the Relationship Abuse pillar through speaking engagements, public appearances, and collaborative events, serving as a subject matter expert.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal Allstate teams, nonprofit partners, and sector collaborators.
  • Develop high-quality communications and materials, including presentations, reports, governance documents, and newsletters, to convey program impact.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for selected nonprofit partners and vendors.
  • Support the full grant lifecycle, including due diligence, application review, and ongoing partner engagement.
  • Prepare materials for governance meetings, including funding recommendations and strategic insights.
  • Review and synthesize partner impact reports to identify trends and inform future funding decisions.
  • Identify and assess new potential partners and investment opportunities aligned with program goals.
  • Support the planning and execution of major pillar events and convenings, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Maintain systems for tracking and reporting on the pillar budget, ensuring accurate planning, forecasting, and reconciliation.
  • Provide project management leadership for cross-functional and public-facing initiatives to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
