Nelnet Insurance Services is seeking an Insurance/Reinsurance Finance Controller to lead finance strategy, reporting, and controls across our reinsurance portfolio. You’ll manage a team, partner closely with leadership and actuarial, and ensure our results are timely, accurate, and decision ready.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
5+ years in insurance/reinsurance accounting with progressive leadership; deep GAAP for re/insurance; Statutory accounting familiarity preferred.
Proven close leadership (month/quarter), audit ownership, and compelling executive/board communication.
Strong data orientation (Excel/PowerQuery/Power BI or similar); experience with process automation and data quality improvements preferred.
Relationship savvy across internal and external partners.
This candidate must be located in Omaha or Lincoln and in office 24 hours a week.
