About The Position
The Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics is seeking a Reimbursement Manager for a full-time position in Chattanooga, TN. Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics is Chattanooga's leading provider of multi-specialty orthopaedic care since 1979. We have 12 convenient locations in the Chattanooga, North Georgia and surrounding area. We offer advanced sports medicine, orthopaedics, surgery, physical and occupational therapy and sports training. The Reimbursement Manager will manage and be fully accountable for all aspects of insurance billing and the complete Accounts Receivable (A/R) lifecycle, including staff training, daily operations, and performance outcomes. Drive high-quality, accurate, and timely claims processing and collections while maintaining Accounts Receivable over 120 days at 10% or less of total A/R. Proactively identify and escalate financial, operational, and compliance risks to senior leadership, and drive continuous process improvement through the effective use of automation and AI-enabled workflows to optimize cash flow and organizational performance. Remote position - must be within 90-mile radius of Chattanooga, TN. No nights/weekends/holidays. Equal Opportunity Employer
Requirements
- Minimum of two years management experience in the medical billing and receivables environment
- Proficient in understanding CPT codes and modifiers, ICD-10, and CCI edits
- Knowledge of medical terms and understanding of copays, deductibles, out-of-pocket and patient insurance benefits
- Computer proficiency, including proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and related reporting tools
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently
- Strong independent problem-solving skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Ability to facilitate contact with insurance companies in a professional, verbal and written manner
- Demonstrates professional and effective communication with patients and staff
