About The Position

Location: Hollywood, Florida Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides highly specialized care ranging from complex multiple trauma, stroke and brain injury to physical and speech therapy. Inpatient care is offered at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient care available in five different locations. We also have a home health team and resources for long-term care at Memorial Manor, while also offering therapy for pediatric developmental diagnosis through Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Summary: Provides patient care and clerical support as needed to support clinical staff.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART), BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE), BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

Assists during treatment sessions under the direct supervision of the therapist.
Performs office support functions including inventory maintenance, temperature logs, stocking, filing, scheduling and answering phones.
Assists clinical staff with preparing patients for therapy.
Maintains treatment area in a clean, safe and organized condition. Cleans and maintains therapy equipment and supplies.
Assists with the movement, support, lifting and transport of patients before, during and after therapy.
