Position Overview The Rehabilitation Manager provides clinical, operational, and strategic leadership for rehabilitation services across inpatient, outpatient, and subacute settings. This role works closely with physicians, nursing, case management, and hospital leadership to ensure high-quality, compliant, and efficient rehabilitation services while supporting and mentoring a multidisciplinary therapy team.

Requirements

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Physical Therapist (PT) in good standing, or eligible for licensure.
  • Master’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of rehabilitation experience
  • Knowledge of inpatient, outpatient, and subacute rehabilitation operations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently while fostering teamwork in a rural healthcare setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate preferred.
  • leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage inpatient, outpatient, and subacute rehabilitation services in a rural hospital environment.
  • Provide direct oversight and support for Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA), and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP).
  • Promote a welcoming, collaborative, and patient-focused culture within the rehabilitation department.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and payer regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to support quality outcomes.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and workflow across all rehabilitation settings.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support safe patient transitions.
  • Monitor quality indicators, patient outcomes, and satisfaction metrics.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and responsible resource management.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development of rehabilitation staff.
