About The Position

Performs general, technical and non-technical duties; assists Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapists in positioning, lifting, transferring and treatment of patients. Maintains equipment and facilities. Follows treatment flow sheets, participates in assigned activities for Swing Bed residents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (or must acquire within 12 months of hire).
• Ability to communicate with employees, physicians, patients and administrative staff in a courteous and professional manner.
• American Heart Association BLS certificate required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience and knowledge in rehab therapeutic exercises and physical modalities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy treatments.
• Prepares treatment areas and equipment.
• Provides assistance with Outpatient treatments.
• Exercises, functional mobility, modalities
• Assists with care of departmental equipment and supplies.
• Maintains established levels of linens, towels, washcloths, ultrasound massage cream, hot pack covers and treatment related supplies
• Consistently demonstrates competence when providing treatments to patients.
• Adheres to the directions and recommendations by the supervising therapist.
• Provides patients and residents with activities from our activity program.
