About The Position

Responsible for the basic cleaning and upkeep of the Rehab Department. Assists therapists with patient care and other departmental duties. Performs other patient care procedures under the direction of a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist.. The Tech II may perform more advanced duties when trained and competency-checked on Technician Skills List. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in health-related field such as Exercise technology, Nutrition, Health Behaviors and/or Health Education Or a bachelors degree and the pre-requisites for a medical related program (i.e. PA, PT, OT, SLP, RN) Or five years experience as a Rehab Tech at PHS in lieu of Bachelors Degree.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the basic cleaning and upkeep of the Rehab Department.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of patients served.
  • Assists therapists/assistants with patient care and other departmental duties.
  • Performs other patient care procedures under the guidance of a licensed clinician.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, modalities pertinent to the rehab setting.
  • Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, and aquatics.
  • Independently lead community members in aquatics and wellness classes (CDS only)
  • Other duties as assigned.
