About The Position

The Rehab Technician provides direct and indirect patient-care activities under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and/or Speech/Language Pathologist. This role involves monitoring patient responses to activities and reporting them to the supervising therapist. Additionally, the Rehab Technician handles various administrative duties to ensure safe and efficient operations, including maintaining the care environment, general departmental maintenance, cleaning equipment, stocking linens, ordering and stocking supplies, monitoring equipment temperatures and functions, and patient scheduling and registration.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s record is required if driving the Rehab Van.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to judge the patient’s response to treatment and report back to the therapist accurately and timely.
  • Effective communication skills, especially one-on-one.
  • Willingness and ability to work with any patient types.

Nice To Haves

  • CNA Certification preferred.
  • Previous experience working with the specific populations (Pediatrics, Adults, etc.) based on assignment.
  • Previous work experience in a hospital/clinic setting.
  • Previous experience using a personal computer and various software applications to include word processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties that support the safe and efficient operations.
  • Judge the patient’s response to treatment and report back to the therapist accurately and timely.
  • Demonstrate a willingness and ability to work with any patient types.
  • Perform all administrative responsibilities independently and refer more complex issues to supervisor for resolution.
  • Coordinate or supervise volunteers in the therapy areas (if applicable).
