Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related field
  • 1-3 years in a regulatory or technical role, ideally within the flavor or food ingredient industry
  • Knowledge in digital systems, specifically: Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills, with a proven ability to handle direct customer inquiries
  • Sharp attention to detail, superior time management, and the ability to multitask in an ever-changing environment
  • A positive, flexible attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Product Vision, TraceGains, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Intelligent Authoring is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare standard regulatory documents, complete detailed customer questionnaires, and answer technical product inquiries in a timely manner
  • Support the collection, organization, and review of raw material supplier documentation while ensuring data is accurately entered into applicable systems
  • Research various regulatory topics and regulations to stay ahead of industry shifts and emerging market trends
  • Contribute to the evolution of internal regulatory programs to increase efficiency and reliability
  • Assist with on-site audits and internal programs for facility certifications including Kosher, Halal, Organic, and Fairtrade
  • Maintain professional, courteous communication with both internal teams and external customers
  • Participate in Synergy’s organoleptic evaluation program
  • Execute additional duties and departmental projects as needed by the department manager
