About The Position
The Regulatory Specialist 1 role at Synergy Flavors primarily focuses on preparing regulatory documentation and addressing technical product inquiries ranging from low to moderate complexity. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related field
- 1-3 years in a regulatory or technical role, ideally within the flavor or food ingredient industry
- Knowledge in digital systems, specifically: Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI)
- Exceptional verbal and written skills, with a proven ability to handle direct customer inquiries
- Sharp attention to detail, superior time management, and the ability to multitask in an ever-changing environment
- A positive, flexible attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Product Vision, TraceGains, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Intelligent Authoring is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare standard regulatory documents, complete detailed customer questionnaires, and answer technical product inquiries in a timely manner
- Support the collection, organization, and review of raw material supplier documentation while ensuring data is accurately entered into applicable systems
- Research various regulatory topics and regulations to stay ahead of industry shifts and emerging market trends
- Contribute to the evolution of internal regulatory programs to increase efficiency and reliability
- Assist with on-site audits and internal programs for facility certifications including Kosher, Halal, Organic, and Fairtrade
- Maintain professional, courteous communication with both internal teams and external customers
- Participate in Synergy’s organoleptic evaluation program
- Execute additional duties and departmental projects as needed by the department manager
