Regulatory Operations Lead
About The Position
Maleda Tech is seeking an experienced Regulatory Operations Lead to support a fast-paced, globally oriented team focused on building and scaling regulatory products, programs, and operational solutions. This role is ideal for someone who brings a strong blend of regulatory operations, product thinking, program execution, and data fluency. You will help shape and optimize regulatory products and workflows, identify areas for improvement, and partner across technical and business teams to drive scalable, compliant solutions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in ambiguity, translating evolving regulatory requirements into operational and product strategies, and influencing cross-functional partners in dynamic environments. This is a highly collaborative role for someone who can move fluidly between strategy and execution while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in regulatory operations, compliance, program management, product operations, or related roles in fast-moving environments
- Strong experience working in complex and evolving regulatory environments with the ability to build structure within ambiguity
- Background partnering cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams to implement scalable programs and workflows
- Advanced or strong working proficiency in SQL and experience using data to drive analysis, investigation, and decision-making
- Experience with dashboarding, BI tools, or internal reporting tools
- Proven ability to develop, improve, or operationalize technical or process-based solutions that mitigate regulatory risk
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience partnering with senior leaders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to different audiences
- Comfortable working in an environment that is collaborative, scrappy, and evolving
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- Experience in technology, digital platforms, marketplaces, gig economy, fintech, crypto, or similarly dynamic industries is highly preferred
- Experience in highly rigid or heavily standardized regulatory environments may be less applicable for this role
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development, execution, and continuous improvement of regulatory products and programs across multiple jurisdictions
- Analyze complex datasets using SQL and dashboarding tools to identify trends, investigate issues, and inform decision-making
- Translate evolving regulatory requirements and trends into actionable operational and product strategies
- Partner closely with product, engineering, legal, policy, and operational stakeholders to design scalable compliance solutions
- Identify product and process gaps, recommend enhancements, and help drive implementation of new or improved workflows
- Support product assurance efforts by monitoring whether tools and workflows are functioning as intended and investigating incidents or anomalies when needed
- Help optimize existing regulatory product infrastructure while contributing to the development of new product solutions
- Influence cross-functional roadmaps and strategic priorities through expertise in regulatory operations and scalable process design
- Drive high-impact initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce operational friction, and support broader business goals
- Communicate insights, recommendations, and outcomes clearly to a range of audiences, including senior leadership
