As a Lead Specialist, Regulatory Policy Operations at MIS, a ReSource Pro Company, you will be responsible for delivering regulatory expertise, client service excellence, and end-to-end ownership of complex implementations and product enhancements. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business or related field
  • 7-10 years' work experience in commercial P&C insurance; Deep understanding of insurance regulatory environments and policy rating systems
  • 1-3 years' experience in software testing; Experience working within software development lifecycles, including testing and release management
  • 3+ years' experience mentoring and/or training team members
  • Robust Project Management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex client issues with a consultative approach
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead the evaluation and interpretation of evolving insurance regulations, translating regulatory impacts into scalable product features, bureau updates, and client-specific system solutions.
  • Partner with technical teams to define design considerations and ensure alignment between regulatory requirements and system capabilities; Develop clear, comprehensive written specifications outlining required programming changes, testing scenarios, and implementation strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for mid-to-high complexity client business and technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and proactive communication.
  • Analyze service trends and recurring issues, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to improve client satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead the maintenance and continuous enhancement of policy rating systems by integrating regulatory updates, bureau changes, and client-driven enhancements.
  • Design and oversee execution of comprehensive test plans to validate functionality, data integrity, and compliance; Perform release management activities, ensuring all phases of the software development lifecycle are documented, tested, and executed effectively.
  • Validate system changes prior to release, ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards.
  • Independently lead onboarding and implementation of new clients, including those with mid-to-high complexity requirements.
  • Direct requirements gathering activities, ensuring accurate documentation of user needs, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies; Monitor project progress using defined metrics and dashboards, proactively addressing delays, risks, and resource constraints
  • Drive successful delivery outcomes by ensuring implementation quality, stakeholder alignment, and positive client experience; Lead the identification and evaluation of service gaps and operational inefficiencies, driving cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage performance data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and provide strategic recommendations.
