Regulatory Compliance Terms and Conditions Analyst
About The Position
Review, analyze, and negotiate contractual terms and conditions in support of defense-related contracts, subcontracts, modifications, and other agreements Ensure compliance with applicable federal acquisition requirements, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific clauses Identify, assess, and communicate contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies to legal, compliance, and business stakeholders Serve as a subject matter expert on contract terms interpretation, flow-down requirements, and regulatory compliance Collaborate closely with legal counsel and procurement Monitor regulatory changes impacting defense contracts and advise leadership on required updates Assist with internal training related to federal contracting requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, law, supply chain, or finance
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory and contractual language
- Experience working cross-functionally in a regulated environment
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)
- Applicant must possess or be able to secure secret or higher DOD clearance
- Demonstrated ability of regulatory compliance experience and risk management
- Demonstrated ability Negotiate and gain stakeholder influence
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
- Business acumen within a defense contracting environment
- Ethical decision-making and confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement procedures
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills; work product sample to demonstrate proficient writing ability desired
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and adjust to changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, think critically, and determine practical solutions to compliance issues
Nice To Haves
- 2 - 9 years of demonstrated contract experience such as Contract Management, Compliance/Regulatory Experience
- Familiarity with government proposal and subcontract management processes
- Experience reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions in a defense or federal contracting environment
- Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), Export Administration Regulation (EAR), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and other import/export regulations
