About The Position

As Regulatory Compliance Manager and designated Williams FERC Compliance Officer, you’ll develop, improve and maintain an effective Federal Energy Regulatory Commission compliance monitoring and review program and encourage a culture of compliance across the organization. In addition, as a liaison for general compliance matters, you will be a point of contact and collaborate with company partners, providing training, evaluating and updating compliance processes. The ability to analyze and resolve sophisticated problems and connect with all levels of the organization are keys to success! Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business, Legal or related field and a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in accounting, pipeline operations, customer administration, audit, compliance, regulatory or related
  • Five (5) years of progressive regulatory compliance experience, with a significant portion focused on FERC-regulated activities
  • Demonstrates ability to influence without authority, including guiding leaders and employees toward compliant outcomes through education, rationale, and relationship‑building rather than enforcement alone
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of experience in FERC audits, enforcement actions, or rate/tariff-related compliance activities
  • Knowledge of the energy industry
  • Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 18

Responsibilities

  • Leads FERC compliance reviews, including identifying and communicating key risks, review findings and recommendations to company partners and senior management
  • Enhances and maintains processes and procedures; establishes, maintains and prepares viable metrics/reports to validate compliance with FERC rules and regulations
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with company partners; collaborates to analyze problems/issues and develops and implements solutions
  • Provides guidance regarding control gaps, potential impact on compliance and recommendations
  • Conducts regular risk assessments and prioritizes/supports required actions in monitoring plans
  • Develops, coordinates, promotes and conducts training and educational opportunities
  • Mentors others
  • Other duties as assigned
