Research and interpret requirements, evaluating the company's product portfolio for compliance and coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers to gather necessary documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or product safety.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree or certification in compliance or regulatory affairs.
• Experience with construction materials and product safety programs.
• Knowledge of third-party testing and certification processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitory and maintain relevant regulatory, sustainability, safety and industry standards. (i.e. domestic manufacturing regulations - Build America Buy America (BABA), Buy American Act (BAA); sustainability standards - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED); federal standards - Department of Transportation (DOT); health and safety standards - Prop65, NSF61; and others relevant to the construction industry)
• Maintain existing approvals, support the pursuit of new certifications and help the organization stay ahead of the evolving compliance expectations within the construction industry.
• Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to obtain necessary documentation on product compliance.
• Prepare, submit, and maintain compliance documentation, declarations, and certification applications.
• Support sales and customer service teams by providing product compliance certifications as requested.
• Identify compliance gaps within the product portfolio and develop actionable recommendations or alternative product strategies to close gaps.
• Develop and refine internal processes for collecting, tracking, distributing and maintaining compliance data.
• Stay informed on emerging requirements that may impact existing product compliance.
• Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
