About The Position

Responsible for assigning inbound orders to AWG using third-party carriers. Ensures pickup dates, delivery dates, and locations align with store delivery schedules to protect member service levels. Oversees all load types, including grocery, dairy, frozen, and meat, ensuring timely and intact delivery. Description of Work Analyze CPU orders and separate full and partial shipments Provide special attention to partial orders to align buyer delivery dates, cube, weight, and allowance requirements Collaborates closely with carriers to determine daily load capacity Research and track daily load arrivals across all divisions Communicate delays or issues to procurement departments as needed Investigate pickup issues and communicate details with vendors, buyers, and carriers Validate carrier rate accuracy and ensure accurate reporting of deadhead, financial risk, and load profitability Manage period-end responsibilities, including journal entries, outside storage, warehouse transfers, new business, and traffic losses Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Availability to support operations outside standard business hours when needed
  • Strong knowledge of transportation, logistics, and inbound freight operations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer and system navigation skills
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally

  • Analyzing CPU orders and separate full and partial shipments
  • Providing special attention to partial orders to align buyer delivery dates, cube, weight, and allowance requirements
  • Collaborating closely with carriers to determine daily load capacity
  • Researching and tracking daily load arrivals across all divisions
  • Communicating delays or issues to procurement departments as needed
  • Investigating pickup issues and communicate details with vendors, buyers, and carriers
  • Validating carrier rate accuracy and ensure accurate reporting of deadhead, financial risk, and load profitability
  • Managing period-end responsibilities, including journal entries, outside storage, warehouse transfers, new business, and traffic losses
  • Other duties as assigned by management
