About The Position

The Registration Specialist supports our Women’s Health/OB-GYN providers by coordinating and scheduling all surgical procedures, pre-operative requirements, post-operative follow-up, and ensuring a seamless patient experience. This role serves as a key liaison between patients, surgeons, hospital/ASC partners, and the care team.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Required: High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical practices
• Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT)
• Understanding of insurance information and reimbursement processes
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Patient scheduling and appointment coordination
• Pre-registration and accurate data entry
• Managing office correspondence and communication
• Facilitating patient flow from entry to destination in a timely, professional manner
• Validating financial and demographic information to ensure accurate records
• Explaining department/hospital policies to patients
