Casual employees work on an 'as needed' basis to meet the needs of the business. Work days & hours will often vary from week to week. The role embraces organizational expectations for customer service. It involves creating accurate and thorough records during the patient registration process including: verification of patient demographics, reason for visit and financial information. The specialist electronically verifies patient eligibility and financial responsibility and performs point of service collections, as appropriate. Referrals to financial counselors are made as needed. The position also coordinates admission reservation with the clinical team.
