About The Position

Registration Educators are responsible for providing orientation to all employees registering patients for services provided by the Health System. They develop, deploy training for all registration staff and coordinate education and skills assessments. In addition, they develop, deploy, and update front office work instructions for all registration areas, primary care and specialty care clinics along with customer service and telephone etiquette training. They monitor new employee performance through direct observation and provides feedback to Supervisors and Directors. They serve as a role model and resource for the registration employees. Department: Employee Organizational Development (EOD) Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours a week required Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm Some travel to outlying clinics will be involved Pay: Based on experience, starting at $17.79/hour

Requirements

  • High School (Required)
  • Driver's License - State of Illinois

Responsibilities

  • Applies effective verbal, nonverbal, and written communication methods to achieve desired results.
  • Collaborates with leadership for scheduling of employee training and events.
  • Collaborates with leadership in the identification of educational needs and development of training materials.
  • Conducts learning needs assessment with staff to maintain skill competencies.
  • Conducts routine ongoing training sessions on customer service and other relevant material on a consistent basis.
  • Develops, coordinates and conducts orientation and training program for all Registration staff. This includes scheduling the new employee with the Registration Educator and providing training for all other front office duties.

  • Maintains current competencies by working with Registration staff, Provides “just in time” training when learning needs or remediation is identified.
