The Registrar position involves admitting all patients in a timely manner, ensuring all current information is documented, signatures received, insurance verified, authorizations received, and deductibles or co-pays requested. Additionally, the role includes ensuring wrist bands are properly applied, advance directives are given to each patient, and patient questions or concerns are addressed.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year Relevant Work Experience
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Admit all patients in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure all current information has been documented, signatures received, insurance has been verified, authorizations received and the deductibles or co-pays have been requested in a compliant manner
• Ensure the wrist bands are put on the proper patients, advance directives given to each patient and patients receive the answer to any questions or concerns they may have
• Serve as back up for the phone operator as needed
• Assist with in-patient patient admissions, including OB, as needed
