Job Summary and Responsibilities
Acts as a resource for the Patient Access Department within their facility. Assist with hiring. Responsible fortraining new staff, auditing charts, and process/policy implementation. Prepares monthly schedule for thedepartment. Assist Facility Administrator and patient access supervisor at their request.

Requirements

• High School Graduate/GED
• One year of recent medical office, hospital registration, or banking experience
• Basic Life Support - CPR

Nice To Haves

• Associates Other or a combination of education and job-related experience and 1 year of management, supervisor, lead experience
• Service recovery & conflict resolution
• Medical terminology, insurance verification, Collections, Schedule creation and maintenance

Responsibilities

• Courteously and Professionally greet patients.
• Obtain accurate demographic insurance information.
• Correctly code and verify insurance coverage.
• Collect estimated patient responsibility or screen patient for assistance programs.
• Answer all incoming calls to the facility.
• Provide assistance to patients presenting or calling with billing questions.
• Process medical records requests.
