About The Position

VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital is seeking registered veterinary technicians to join their General Practice team. Technicians are responsible for technical duties, client communication, and patient care. Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
• Credentialed (CVT, RVT, LVT)

Responsibilities

• Perform technical duties related to their role and department
• Handle client communication
• Provide patient care
• Support technician and doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients
• Win the confidence of every pet parent by delivering an outstanding client experience
• Provide exceptional care to every patient
• Perform physical examinations and patient assessment
• Monitor anesthesia
• Assist with surgical preparation and assisting
• Perform dentistry tasks
• Conduct radiology procedures
• Perform laboratory work
• Execute venipuncture
• Place catheters
• Manage pharmacy duties
• Oversee patient recovery
• Provide compassionate care of hospitalized animals
