Responsibilities

Follow treatment plans prescribed by the veterinarian
Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
Competency in emergency and surgical care - including IV catheter placement
Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff.
Obtain quality lab samples via venipuncture, cystocentesis, fecal collection, etc.
Perform in-hospital laboratory diagnostics, including urinalysis, cytologies, etc.
Process lab samples utilizing in-hospital laboratory equipment
Use low-stress patient handling techniques
Perform diagnostic radiographs
Administer injections, medications, and nursing care as directed by a veterinarian
Administer sedation for minor procedures
Administer and monitor general anesthesia, if required
Maintain accurate, complete digital medical records
Maintain a clean work environment
