Requirements
- Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in California
- Proficient in venipuncture, catheterization, advanced diagnostics, and patient monitoring
- Comfortable with sedation and anesthesia protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Passion for patient care and willingness to learn and grow
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional holidays
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of experience in internal medicine or specialty practice preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level nursing care to patients with complex internal medicine conditions
- Assist with and perform advanced diagnostic procedures such as: Endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and rhinoscopy
- Ultrasound-guided aspirates and biopsies
- ACTH stim, LDDST, and other specialized testing
- Place and maintain various IV catheters, feeding tubes, and urinary catheters
- Perform and assist with imaging and lab sample collection and preparation
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV fluids as directed
- Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate condition updates to the medical team
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients
