About The Position

Dynamic Integrated Services (DIS) is seeking a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) to join our growing organization in support of a federal healthcare contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) . This position will support vascular diagnostic imaging services for Veterans receiving care at the VA New Jersey Healthcare System – East Orange Campus . Schedule: Weekday services (full-time equivalent hours) supporting VA vascular laboratory operations. Contract Start: Estimated May 1, 2026 Contract Length: Base Year: May 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027 With potential option years extending through April 30, 2031 . Compensation: Competitive and negotiable based on experience.

Requirements

  • Must hold current certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) .
  • Certification must be obtained through one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) – RVT Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) – RVS
  • Must possess a full and unrestricted license in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience performing advanced vascular imaging procedures .
  • Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, pathology, and disease processes .
  • Ability to perform and evaluate a wide range of vascular diagnostic studies.
  • Experience with Doppler imaging, waveform analysis, and intracranial vascular exams .
  • Ability to operate and optimize ultrasound equipment for high-quality imaging.
  • Ability to document disease progression or regression based on imaging results.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with physicians and clinical teams.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements for credentialing organizations.
  • Complete mandatory VA training programs including BLS and required clinical training.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vascular ultrasound diagnostic studies to support patient care for Veterans.
  • Operate ultrasound diagnostic equipment to evaluate and record vascular data including: Blood flow Blood pressure Limb volume changes Oxygen saturation Cerebral circulation Peripheral circulation Abdominal circulation
  • Perform routine and specialized vascular ultrasound examinations .
  • Capture, review, and document diagnostic images and findings.
  • Enter preliminary reports into the electronic patient record system .
  • Communicate clinical findings and observations to physicians and care providers.
  • Review consult requests and assist with appropriate scheduling of vascular studies .
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment, supplies, and perform routine troubleshooting.
  • Ensure patient safety and infection control compliance .
  • Respond to patient and provider inquiries related to vascular imaging services.
  • Serve as a liaison between the vascular laboratory and internal/external clinical teams .
  • Assist in emergency response situations and basic patient care as needed.
