About The Position

As a Registered Vascular Sonographer on our team, you'll have the opportunity to work in an environment deeply committed to your personal well-being and professional development within a setting renowned for clinical excellence. The Registered Vascular Sonographer performs a variety of technical imaging procedures and provides quality care to patients. Workdays will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Hours may be 7am-5:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm. No weekends, no holidays, no on-call. 4 10-hour shifts available. Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines. Operates highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System). Trains students and staff as assigned. Creates a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families. Assesses data reflective of the patient status. Interprets information needed to identify each patients requirement and/or specific needs, and provides care per applicable policy and procedures. Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.

Requirements

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.
  • Licensure, certification, and/or registration: ARRT registry/ARDMS in one of the following areas: OB/Gyn, Abd or Neurosonography. CPR certification required.
  • Other: Interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.

Nice To Haves

  • Vascular ultrasound experience preferred but not required.
  • RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) in Vascular Sonography.
  • ARDMS or CCI.
