About The Position

Up to $30,000 Sign-on Bonus for new hires and Relocation Assistance up to $7,000 available. Requirements

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.
  • Licensure, certification, and/or registration: RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) in Vascular Sonography. ARDMS or CCI. CPR certification required.
  • Other: Interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.

Nice To Haves

  • Vascular ultrasound experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency with skills and knowledge to perform noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations, assess technical data and provide preliminary results, and assist in the interpretation of exams
  • Exam types include: Visceral arterial/venous Cerebrovascular – including TCDI Peripheral venous Peripheral arterial Vascular surgery OR procedures – pre, intra, and post-operative evaluations
  • Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.
  • Operates highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).
  • Trains students and staff as assigned.
  • Creates a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
  • Assesses data reflective of the patient status.
  • Interprets information needed to identify each patients requirement and/or specific needs, and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
  • Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.
