About The Position
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing a wide range of cardiopulmonary conditions and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in respiratory therapy required
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required
- Active North Carolina Respiratory Therapy license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Every other weekend and holiday requirement
Nice To Haves
- Acute care and critical care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders
- Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management
- Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment
- Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
