What You Will Do As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering care across emergency, critical care, and acute patient settings.
Requirements
- Education: Associate Degree, Vocational/Technical Training, or Certificate in Respiratory Therapy
- Licensure: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or state Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) required within 30 days of hire
- Experience: Open to both experienced therapists and new graduates
- Interview Requirement: Onsite interviews required
Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment: Perform focused respiratory assessments, interpret breath sounds, evaluate airway patency, and determine appropriate interventions.
- Therapy Delivery: Administer evidence-based respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and airway clearance techniques.
- Ventilation Management: Assist with airway management, initiate and adjust invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and respond promptly to patient condition changes or emergencies.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and care teams to support patient stabilization, including neonatal and high-acuity cases.
- Equipment & Safety: Operate and maintain respiratory equipment and ensure safe transport of ventilated patients.
