How you'll contribute A sleep technician who excels in this role: Provides care for patients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder treatment. Works under the general supervision of the clinical director (M.D., D.O., or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. Prepares for the arrival of the patient by setting up and preparing the equipment for the ordered test. Interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures. Performs testing and any additional testing required for sleep disorder that is noted. Scores, interprets, and reports results of sleep studies. Educates patients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources. Prepares, calibrates, repairs, and maintains equipment required for testing. Determines and reports needed repairs and replacements. Maintains proper supplies to care for patients. Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current sleep technologist certification (RPSGT) in their practicing state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent required
  • Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience preferred
