The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions, including CPAP, BIPAP therapy, ASV/AVAPS, O2 administration, and TCO2 monitoring under the general supervision of the clinical director (MD, DO) or designee. This role reviews patient information, prepares and calibrates equipment, applies electrodes and sensors, performs physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and adjusts accordingly, collects and documents data, observations, and significant events. Scores sleep/wake stages and generates accurate reports for interpretation. Performs mask fits, documents, and downloads data for interpretation. Keeps lead tech and manager informed of issues. Performs other duties as assigned.
