We are the corporate Pharmacy for Texas Health where we process patient and employee prescriptions. We have several upcoming service lines, to be able to better serve our patients by meeting them where they are, so come join us from the beginning! This position has 1 shift (8am-5pm), Monday-Friday and will work from the Retail Pharmacy or designated Provider offices, with the potential to become remote in the future. This position will serve as the Pharmacy Technician Liaison between the Retail Pharmacy, Provider offices in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex servicing patients, employees and Ambulatory Pharmacists. Candidate must have good phone etiquette. Candidate will need to be self-motivated, a team player, an effective and timely communicator and have the ability to be proactive in their duties. Candidate must be able to prioritize due to urgent & time sensitive tasks. Candidate will complete prescription data entry & filling process along with selling the prescription through point of sale and arranging delivery/shipping to patient. Preferred qualifications: at least 2 years of previous Retail Pharmacy experience, previous prior authorization processing and prescription benefit billing experience This position calls for the ability to perform essential duties such as lifting, standing, walking and moving equipment for the duration of the shift. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
  • 6 Months experience in a Texas Health hospital pharmacy required
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English language, computers, the ability to adapt to various software systems, and basic math including conversions, proportions, ratios, and algebra.
  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • IV Certification Preferred
  • 2 years of previous Retail Pharmacy experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location.
  • Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and Patient Safety standards, programs, and initiatives.
  • Ongoing professional development and growth, leads by example, perpetuates accountability, manages own time.
  • Communicate effectively, develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks, under the direction of designated personnel.
  • Shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
