About The Position

Oklahoma City Indian Clinic (OKCIC) is a non profit corporation that provides culturally sensitive health care to the American Indian population. OKCIC services not only include basic medical care, but also dental, optometry, behavioral health services, fitness, nutrition and other family programs. Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is hiring a pharmacy technician. The pharmacy technician will be under the supervision of a pharmacist. The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is a non-profit organization and not federal employment. Indian preference hiring laws apply. Requirements

  • Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position, medical marijuana license holders who test positive for marijuana will not be qualified for this position.
  • Must align with OKCIC vision, mission and core values
  • Must have at least 12 consecutive months experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Current Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT) preferred
  • Experience with EHR/RPMS and GSL
  • Experience with OptiFill Automated Dispensing System

Responsibilities

  • Routine pharmacy functions such as receive prescriptions from patients or providers
  • Prepare and dispense medications
  • Maintain patient profiles
  • Provide excellent service to patients at the pick-up window
  • Answer patient and provider phone calls
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Operate and maintain automated pharmacy equipment
  • Participate in department quality improvement activities
  • Conduct monthly medication storage area inspections
  • Provide various technical support services as deemed necessary by the Pharmacy supervisor to maintain the consistency of overall Pharmacy services.
