Here’s What You Need · High School Diploma or Equivalent Required · RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required · IV Certification Preferred · 2 years of previous Retail Pharmacy experience highly preferred · Proficiency in written and verbal English language, computers, the ability to adapt to various software systems, and basic math including conversions, proportions, ratios, and algebra. · The ability to work alone and as part of a team. What You Will Do · Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location. · Candidate will complete prescription data entry & filling process along with selling the prescription through point of sale and arranging delivery/shipping to patient. · Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and Patient Safety standards, programs, and initiatives. · Ongoing professional development and growth, leads by example, perpetuates accountability, manages own time. · Communicate effectively, develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks, under the direction of designated personnel. · Shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies. · This position requires the ability to perform essential duties such as lifting, standing, walking and moving equipment for the duration of the shift. · Other duties as assigned.
