About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician I assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. In addition, the Pharmacy Technician I is expected to collect and input prescriptions (new and refill) and patient information. Technicians must be internally trained in a task prior to being able to perform the task on their own. Once technician achieves proficiency in a task, it is expected the technician will train new staff. Must be able to multi-task and perform repetitive tasks accurately.

Requirements

  • License/Certification/Registration required? Yes
  • Active technician registration with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy OR active registration as a pharmacy intern in the state of MN with active enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy is required.
  • For newly registered technicians/registered interns without Tech 240 certification, you will need to complete 240 hours of theoretical and practical training on-site within twelve months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) is preferred, but not required.
  • Active registration as a pharmacy intern in the state of MN with active enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy may be accepted in lieu of CPhT certification.
  • Pharmacy technician experience, preferred
