About The Position
POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse is responsible for participating in all aspects of patient care. This position’s scope includes, but is not limited to nursing assessments, nursing care, patient and family education, case management, treatment planning, and contributing to patient care conferences. This position provides professional nursing care services to patients with psychiatric disorders. This position participates in house-wide and unit specific committees and provides community and in-house education as needed. This individual demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages and diagnoses of the patients served.
Requirements
- Experience: 1 year minimum
- License/Certifications: Current state license as a registered nurse and current CPR certification
- Other Skills/Knowledge: Effective interpersonal and analytical skills to assess patients physical, psychological, and social needs.
Nice To Haves
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Experience: Participation in a behavioral health treatment setting (multidisciplinary team)
- Psychiatric nurse certification
