About The Position

Shiloh Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate and driven Registered Nurse (RN) to work full-time in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Supervisor to support the health and wellness of our residents. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and team development in a warm, community-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Current MN RN License in good standing.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide and support a team.
  • Solid understanding of nursing assessments, care planning, and assisted living regulations.
  • Able to communicate clearly with residents and families about care needs.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to step in where needed.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for appropriate services based on each resident's individual needs.
  • Complete and organize admission and discharge assessments; supervise or perform routine assessments as needed.
  • Observe and audit daily charting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee proper medication administration procedures; address corrections or errors with staff.
  • Provide health and medication training to new staff; deliver ongoing education and document all training to meet state and federal standards.
  • Support the Assisted Living Manager with marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Help coordinate and host community events (e.g., family picnics, entertainment, coffee socials).
  • Provide tours and guidance to potential residents and families.
  • Document and report resident or family concerns and grievances.
  • Maintain professional relationships with families, residents, staff, and healthcare partners.
  • Mentor and monitor direct care staff; support performance management by informing the Assisted Living Manager of concerns when necessary.
  • Work independently while collaborating closely with the Clinical Nurse Supervisor and broader care team.
