Registered Nurse Atrium Health Mercy PACU Residency (Experienced RNs) Full Time
About The Position
Our 27-bed unit provides both Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical procedures including orthopedic, spine, bariatric, general, vascular and general surgeries. Primary job responsibilities include close physiological monitoring, management of anesthesia side effects, administration of medications, completion of accurate and timely documentation, discharge planning, patient and family education, adherence to established policies and standards, and collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. We foster a collaborative team environment focusing on engagement, patient satisfaction, continuous growth, and excellence in care. An ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal, clinical assessment, and critical thinking skills. Some call shifts are required. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Atrium Health Mercy, a 196-bed facility of Carolinas Medical Center, is one of two Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) locations and is 1.3 miles from CMC. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- 6 months of experience as a Registered Nurse
