About The Position

Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse for their general pediatrics stepdown unit, 3 East, in Wilmington, Delaware. This is a full-time, night shift position, requiring 72 hours biweekly with every third weekend and holiday rotation. 3 East is a surgical intermediate unit that cares for a high population of patients requiring post-operative care for urological issues, traumatic injuries, and general surgery. The unit also provides care for patients with acute and end-stage renal disease, as well as those needing intermediate nursing care due to tracheostomy and/or ventilator needs. Each patient room is equipped with oxygen, compressed air, suction, state-of-the-art cardiorespiratory bedside monitors, and computers for accessing electronic medical records. The unit aims to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care, utilizing the Synergy model for patient assignments based on patient and family needs and nursing skill sets.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for or have current DE nursing license
• Must have BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• At least 6 months of nursing experience required
• If holding an Associate's degree, must receive BSN within three years
