RN - 3E, Intermediate Care Unit
About The Position
Nemours is seeking a Registered Nurse for their general pediatrics stepdown unit in Wilmington, Delaware. This is a full-time position, 72 hours biweekly, with rotating shifts and every third weekend and holiday rotation. The 3 East unit is a surgical intermediate unit that cares for a high population of patients requiring post-operative care for urological issues, traumatic injuries, and general surgery. It also provides care for patients with acute and end-stage renal disease and those needing intermediate nursing care due to tracheostomy and/or ventilator needs. Each patient room is equipped with oxygen, compressed air, suction, state-of-the-art cardiorespiratory bedside monitors, and computers for electronic medical record access. The unit aims to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care, utilizing the Synergy model for patient assignments based on patient and family needs and nursing skill sets.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of nursing experience
- Must be eligible for or have current DE nursing license
- Must have BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- If have associate's degree must receive BSN within three years
